There goes Year1 Semester 2~~

How long this blog has been dead? *sigh* Each time I reminisce the pride we used to be proud of in the past, I just can't stop the feeling of disappointment. How should I put this into words? Things used to be very good last time. Too good that no one actually forecast the coming of the negative circumstances. I guess none of us could actually arrange the circumstances, from the very starting, to the developing point, then to the climax and to the end chronologically. The reason why is it so is because all the problems are left unsolved. Should I say every of us is just too coward to face the truth?

From strangers to best friends, from best friends to family-like friends, from family-like friends to strangers back? What are all these man? I still don't have the clue why all this will happen. It's more like some people feel that their life is too boring. And that's why they wanna put a show and make life more dramatic. C'mon! We are all grown-ups! We should be good enough to do things rationally. Why wanna be over emotionally affected by little small things? Why care so much? Everyone has their own rights to live the life that they want. And keep in mind, harsh words kill! I'm not trying to be fussy to you guys. But, cmon... Let me just do some sharing of my thoughts. K. Look. If you guys really have something to confess to your friends, just say it out. Don't shoot that person indirectly with harsh words. C'mon! It really hurts okay! >.<

I really hope the days will be like what it was in the past. People! Please have the initiative to heal the wound. >< Do you want to live with regrets when you think of all these in the future? Like what our dear classmate, Chris told me last time. "Why is it so hard to say sorry to someone?" Yeah~ WHY!!?? C'mon! It's not hard okay! I did it. And I live with no regret and misunderstandings were cleared up! Hope things will be fine asap~

Btw, JIA YOU to all CD0905-3 classmates. One more week to CHIONG! It is not the time to be lazy yet okay.. *wink*

Upon a request from Alvin, one of the authors is planing to revive this blog (when free). There are few weeks more before this blog will officially 'die' (maybe, as no one can predict its' future). You know that.

Week 3 in college....@@ Hectic like working machines. Sleepless like zombie. Idealess like an empty shell. *sigh* Still, we have to keep moving on. Go go go~~~ What's on for the coming week?

Monday
~ Hand in your sketches and essays for 10,100,100 years into the future for History of Art and Design.
~TVC for Group 1,2, and 3 for ELS. Other classmates who wanna kay-poh, can come as well. ^^

Tuesday
~Bring your researches on Nutox/Nano White and packaging design.
~Hand in paper relief assignment. Well, here is some tips from me myself. Actually, you don't have to get expensive paper materials. Actually, by using magazines, you can do many things. Trust me, you can really save a lot of money. No inspiration? Don't just google for "paper relief". Try googling on other designs. Deviantart is definitely the best best best choice! And, don't just use your eyes to see. Take a paper. Hold a knife. Cut cut cut. Fold fold fold. You might be just inspired by your own ideas.
~Bring drawing block, cutting materials and white colour paper with different weight. I am not quite sure where can we get white colour paper of different weight. Hm...

Wednesday
~TVC for other groups for ELS.
~CG as usual.

Thursday
~ 3 figure drawings + 6 nudes picture( 3 girls+3 boys). For the nude pictures, study the gestures by using the proportionate way. Besides, you should do the gesture practice like last week. As many as possible.

Friday
~Hand in your calligraphy practice.
~More and more sketches for your letterform!!! @@.. I know you guys are trying hard to understand "try to make your font looks like your subject, not your subject looks like your font". But, yeah.. Somehow, we still have to figure out this. =..=
~Follow Gabriel's twitter .He posted many interesting websites' links there. Besides, feel free to visit his personal website as well.

Aiyok! Semester 2 has finally started for 2 weeks. So how do you guys feel huh? After quite a long break, now have to "piah" again. "SHIOK" enough right? Lol..

Ok ok.. So, let me compile all the home assignments from Tuesday-Friday.

Tuesday- Design
♥Do research on NUTOX/NANO WHITE. Research must be printed out.
♥Do research on packaging design. Keep in mind. Form follows function. Aside from thinking the form, have to do research on the graphic design of the packaging based on what festival you wanna do. Selamat Hari Raya, Santa Christmas, Gong Xi Fa Cai, Deepavali,....
♥Home assignment- Paper relief. Best size-A3 size. Marks:10%

Wednesday- English Language Skill, Computer Graphic Design
♥I am sure you guys have seen the list of your group member. If you haven't seen it, please go and check your extremely overloaded mailbox and seek for Pinky's mail. You are to start thinking of a TV commercial to be presented on next next week. If I am not mistaken, TVC should be around 30-40 secs. Make it short and sweet. All the members must have a task.

♥No assignment for CG. Make sure you have got your Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as soon as possible.

Thursday- Figure Studies II
♥You guys must have enjoyed a lot in the last lesson right? Hm.. So, we still have to finish 3 figure drawing again. And an additional homework, which is draw the gesture sketch for sitting and standing. As many as possible.

Friday- Letterform and Calligraphy, Drawing II
♥For L&C, do your research on the subject that lecturer has chosen. Find the special elements of the subject chosen. And, if you have any idea on the alphabets, you can start to do your rough sketch now.
♥Homework for L&C- Calligraphy practice. You should know what to do.
♥Drawing II- no home assignment anymore. ATTENTION:Next week's class is canceled. By the next lesson, you must have all the colours in your pallete! No more excuse. *$$$ flying away*

Monday History class.

Daniel have given us the 2 assignments to complete.

One is the 4 different versions of A4 self-portraits in 2D format with 350 (mininum) words write-up for each portrait. It is to describe the interesting qualities of the work & explains the inspirations, concepts and messages behind the 4 versions of self-portrait. Deadline is on week 7.

Second is the short exercise 1. (Sorry, I'm not really understand how to do this assignment, so I leave to Jian or Yee Sum to fill up and explain it.)

Due to the 2 holidays (last week and next week), there are replacements for us and class -4. Daniel will talk about it after Raya's week. And to those who have been absent, you may borrow the notes from our friends and photocopy it.

Monday Language class, Pinky.

Everyone please pay attention on this. E1 and E2 of CD0905-3 will combine together for this week and the following weeks as well. In short, we will attend the language class together. For this Wednesday, everyone please go to J5 to attend the language class. The time is still starts from 1pm until 3pm.
